John Anderson has played competitive soccer since early youth, playing goal keeper on the Dallas Blazers Soccer Club, ’67. John has also refereed since 1979. He played goal keeper on the 1983 JJ Pearce High School squad which won the UIL Soccer Championship. He then moved and played the next two years on TX state semi-finalist teams at Plano Senior High School. John was recruited by Coach Jim Dusara to play goal keeper on the 1985 BYU Men’s Soccer team.
John served a mission in the Detroit Michigan Mission from 1987-89.
John graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in English Literature in 1991.
John graduated with an MBA & Master of Health Organization Management from Texas Tech University in 1995.
John has coached premier soccer teams in Utah since 1998 with Sparta United, and was the assistant coach for the ’93 Sparta United State Cup champions.
He then coached Sparta United ’95 for two seasons.
John coached premier teams for the Utah Rangers ’93, which also won a State Cup Championship, and then the ’95 Utah Rangers.
John served as assistant coach to Blaine Hale of the inaugural UYSA Premier League, Alpine Dynamo, ’94.
John is now coaching the Alpine Dynamo ’04, and ’00 teams for 2012-13 seasons
